I'm not sure how far their audience reaches, but there is a syndicated radio show called The Rick and Bubba Show that's based here in Birmingham. This past weekend, Rick's youngest son, Bronner accidentally drowned in their family swimming pool. Rick was attending a conference out of state and his wife and all 5 children were at home. Sherry, his wife, instructed the kids to watch some TV while she took a quick shower. Although she locked all of the exterior doors, somehow Bronner was able to go out the back door and unfortunately, fell in the pool. Of course, by the time they found him, it was too late. This little boy was to turn 3 years old in May. Just a tragic, tragic event that none of us ever want to even come close to experiencing first hand.
The "celebration" service for Bronner was held yesterday at one of our local churches where Rick and his family attend. Rick gave (well, I wouldn't even call it a eulogy - sp?) a powerful, convicting sermon. I have attached a link to the Rick and Bubba website where they have posted Rick's comments (in 3 vidoes) at the bottom of the page. I am strongly encouraging each of you to watch all three videos, in its entirety. What an amazing example of how we are supposed to live and what our priorities should be. I will be interested in your comments!

Keith,
That is an amazing testimony to the power of God-a grieving father speaking so boldly about what matters most. Thank you for sharing it with us.
Love,
Teresa
I thought after viewing that of the scripture in 2 Corinthians 6:11-21 talking about the ministry of reconciliation and that was surely the thrust of his message and to deliver it with such power was surely the work of the Holy Spirit. What a compelling example of God's power. Thanks!
Keith, that was a powerful message that will reach many, many people like no other sermon could. If we allow Him to use us, he can take our deepest sorrows and turn them into great blessings. That little boy who was on this earth for such a very short time will have a great impact in this world through his father and his family. Thanks for sharing that with us....love to you and your family
