92 years ago today, a very special man was born in Detroit. He came from a broken home but strived very diligently when he became a husband and father to keep his family together. He had no role model for a father, but did the best he could to raise 2 daughters and 1 son. He diligently cared for his mother until the day that she died and had a great influence on her in becoming a Christian. He himself became a follower of Christ late in his life, and the Word of God became the most important thing in his life. His sole purpose in life was doing for his family and those he came in contact with. His influence is still felt in the 3 generations that have come after him. We miss you, but are grateful for all the things that you have taught us and look forward to seeing you again. HAPPY BIRTHDAY, DAD!!

I've been thinking about Dad today....thanks, Larry for the post and the reminder of our dad and who he was and what he has meant to us as his family. May we always remember and pass on the heritage we have received....love, Linda
Mom, thanks for the reminder about what a special man Pa was. It does not seem possible that he has been gone for so long. The older I get, the more I appreciate the changes that he made in his life once he became a Christian...it couldn't have been easy. I miss him a lot.
Oops, sorry, Nancy! Since it was signed the Siegel family, I thought Larry made the post. My thanks go to you for the thoughts on Dad's birthday....
Great job Nancy! God truly blessed us with great parents. Dad's journey on this earth truly was a God thing. May we carry on the heritage of love for God and family that mom and dad have started.
Larry
